The Bay Restoration Fund (BRF) is a state program that provides funding to replace conventional septic tanks with nitrogen-reducing units. Best Available Technologies (BAT) systems are designed to reduce nitrogen discharge from onsite sewage disposal. Various technologies are approved for use in Maryland by the Maryland Department of Environment (MDE). If your home is equipped with a BAT it is required through your local county Health Department and MDE to have annual maintenance completed by a certified service provider. Jones Pump Service / Bay Area Environmental is BAT operations & and maintenance certified through the state of Maryland.
Jones Pump Service / Bay Area Environmental offers a yearly Service Agreement to ensure the components of your BAT system are functioning properly and to keep you in compliance with state and county regulations for maintenance. During an operations and maintenance visit, our technician will locate and inspect all components of your BAT unit, verify the structural integrity of the tanks, test for proper operation of electrical panel and components, check the function of any pumps, clean any filters you may have, and any other specific manufacturer recommendations for your technology. We are also certified in Harford County, Baltimore County, and Cecil County for BAT septic pumping service.
Jones Pump Service / Bay Area Environmental is a vendor for multiple Best Available Technologies that are approved for BRF funding in the state of Maryland. We work with contractors and homeowners throughout the process of grant application submittal, system installation, system start-up, as well as operations and maintenance. Bay Area Environmental distributes, maintains and services three of the approved technologies.
